A sun rising from the horizon
An island emerges
Regenerated by the Ocean
You set foot on a new island
Bathed in a supernatural light
That fills your Being.
After the regenerating immersion
In the great sea of Laguz
A new world emerges
Revealing what was hidden within us.
The new, regenerated man
And regenerating the World.
In this final Aett, the completion and integration of all our aspects is expressed through a symmetry already encountered in Ehwaz (the union of our will with our instinctive forces) and in Mannaz (integration into the form of Man). Here in Ingwaz, we find the fire of Kenaz doubled and intertwined. This fire, set in motion within the wheel of Jera by the dynamic separation of Kenaz, now curls in on itself: Fire has become light and radiates unimpeded.
After the emergence of Mannaz and the conscious dissolution into Laguz, a new coagulation occurs, preparing for a radical rupture. In this radiant dawn, a new vessel emerges from the infinite ocean. We become aware of the profound changes— —that restructure and orient our inner being: in the light, we can feel the heartbeats of a new creature that is ourselves.
Here, from the Ice, an “igneous form” emerges: it protects and nourishes the quintessence of the cycle, the Fire; there is total complementarity in the gestation. Energy is channeled, stored, organized, and illuminates the outside. There is harmony between the inner and outer worlds. From this conjunction emerges a radiant light. In Ingwaz, the human form, imbued with the Fire of the Mind of Mannaz and regenerated by the liquid Ice of Laguz, becomes the sun.
Like a sleeper emerging from a long slumber, we awaken. The end of the cycle approaches: the fog lifts, the shadows of the night flee. There is a sense of completion, fulfillment, and the revelation of a new world, of new possibilities.
The creative fire of Kenaz has become an integral part of our being: we are fully imbued with this Presence within us that manifests outwardly, illuminating our inner and outer worlds.
A key concept is the turning inward toward this emerging essence (Fire) and the isolation from all disruptive influences (Ice). What is created here is the ark sailing upon the waters of Laguz, the infinite consciousness to lead us to Tir na Nog.
If this moment is a dawn, it is not an end. The awareness of this becoming and of the new possibilities taking shape is not a splendid isolation but the beginning of an adventure.
